The strange thing is that I can see the folders, and some appear slightly open with images in them. Yet, when I try to open them, they are empty.
Empty folders
I uploaded folders and files to OneDrive to save them because my laptop needed a new motherboard and would be factory reset. Now I'm trying to get the items back on to my laptop but OneDrive says the folders are empty?
In Files Explorer, I can see a cloud beside the items I want to download, but am being told they are 'empty'. I'm positive I didn't delete anything so am at a loss to know what has happened.
I am using Windows 10, 64bit.
Thanks for any help in advance.

2023-03-10T13:25:55+00:00 Hi Dave,
Yes, I uploaded folders and individual files (mostly cartoon images that I've drawn).
It did seem to take a while for them to upload, and I'm sure I got a "completed" message at some point.

When you click that upload link on OneDrive, it can take a long time for your files to upload, did you ensure they had completed the upload process?
What folders did you upload to OneDrive, were they like the Documents, Pictures, Desktop folders?

Thanks for replying.
I transferred all the files and folders on my laptop to OneDrive using the 'upload' link.
When I go into my OneDrive account, all the folders and files I uploaded are visible. However, they appear to be empty.
I have no idea what I've done wrong, but it looks like I've lost everything somehow - including important accounts info.
Cheers, Ron

I am Dave, I will help you with this.
1
Log into OneDrive online: https://onedrive.live.com/
Can you find your files/folders synced to the cloud there?
2
If you cannot find your data there, what were the exact steps you performed to backup your data to OneDrive?
