Path too long

I downloaded a big file and I need to extract it, but some paths are too long.
I worry that if I rename the file stuff won't work as intended, also there are a lot of long files so I don't really know what to do.

Sorry to hear that. Try using 7-zip decompression utility instead.

You can modify a registry key to allow the device to names long paths.

    1. Press Windows + R
    2. Type regedit <Enter>
    3. Navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem

    1. Look for "LongPathsEnabled"
    2. Double-click it and change the value to 1
    3. Restart computer

    Did that help?
