exe file gets stuck

i used steam to download, somthing went wrong. you can read my original request on the steam discussion panel of farming sim 2019 under the name of frick.

so this zombie file is stuck. cant close, tried to terminate with command, access denied. tried to delete files... didnt work. tried cmd. still access denied. i tried restarting over and over, but nothing has worked so far. i just need the game to get out of the constant state of starting up. it is trying but cant because probably something went wrong during installation.
later i found out about task cmd: taskkill /f.. it force stops an application and it really made me worry. i checked task mgr if it was still there and i ran in cmd: taskkill /f /im farmingsimulator2019game.exe (thats the name of the game file that messes up.) the feedback i got: could not be terminated. reason: not active... task mgr said it was... and it still is... i have a photo if you need me on discord tell me id love to get this off of my laptop...
then i did something else, after plan z i went over to plan AA, i opened task manager as admin, tried to close the program via my memory and cpu... even tho i could for example get rid of steam, i couldnt stop the zombie game from existing.
when i was done with all of the above i decided to do things diffrently. so i downloaded from a diffrent laptop and restored as much game files as i could, i used onedrive but some files didnt upload so i stuck to using a zip map and then onedrive to up and download. this took by far the longest, i have waited for 4 hours in total for the game to install, be compressed into zip file, upload and... it didnt work. whaddaya expect. otherwise i wouldnt have posted this anyways. at this point i allso tried some other minor things like using a friend's epic to fix it, but epic has other game files so im not messin with those.

i am absolutely done dealing with this and im just plain asking for assistance of cleaning up this laptop. i do not really want to do a fac reset because my school is having problems getting new lisences for the products wich i need to use, and i do not want to use my way to crappy school laptop for school. if i HAVE to then there is no other option but pl send help

    Hi Racing Raffie,

It's possible that the issue is related to your user account rather than the game files or the operating system itself. If creating a new user account on your laptop allows you to play the game without any issues, then the problem might be related to a corrupt or misconfigured setting or file specific to your original user account.

You can refer to the following article to transfer your details to your new account. Fix a corrupted user profile in Windows - Microsoft Support

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

oh well. i have no clue why... it happened again. i tested the game and once i tried to close it it crashed. i did notice that i didnt get any responses from the servers and i couldnt open the mod downloader. steam says its online again. i guess im back to the start. i have already tried to restore windows by doing the scannow but nothing was found. i allso ran win defender and bit defender again, but it allso didnt help. i still havent gotten anything from the developers so i think that allso wont help me any further.

i did find out that if i make another user on my laptop, that i can play the game. same files, nothing. this time it DID connect to the online servers. nothing went wrong over there, ill ping if it goes wrong too because it would mean that something is still happening. via the other user i managed to open steam and check the files via steam but it says that nothing is wrong with it, even tho i know from past experiences that that steam checker is kinda useless.

if you have any other guesses on what might be happening then im all ears.

    Hi Racing Raffie,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your game installation. It sounds like you've tried a number of troubleshooting steps already, but haven't been able to resolve the issue.

One thing you could try is running a virus scan on your computer to make sure there isn't any malware or other malicious software interfering with your game. It's also possible that there are some corrupt system files causing the problem, so you could try running a system file checker (SFC) scan.

To run a virus scan, you can use the built-in Windows Defender Security Center or another antivirus program of your choice.

To run an SFC scan, follow these steps:

Open the Command Prompt as an administrator by searching for "Command Prompt" in the Start menu, right-clicking on it, and selecting "Run as administrator".

In the Command Prompt, type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

The scan will take some time to complete, and will replace any corrupted system files it finds with a clean copy.

Verify the integrity of the game files. This can help fix any corrupted or missing files that may prevent the game from launching properly.

To do this, open the Steam Library, right-click or control-click the game, and select Properties. Then, switch to the Local Files side-tab and select Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Run the game as administrator. This can give the game more permissions and access to system resources that it may need.

To do this, open the Steam Library, right-click or control-click the game, and select Properties. Then, switch to the Local Files side-tab and select Browse Local Files. This will open the game folder in File Explorer. Right-click or control-click the game executable file (farmingsimulator2019game.exe) and select Properties. Then, switch to the Compatibility side-tab and check the box next to Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply and OK to save the changes.

Disable non-essential software. Some programs may interfere with Steam or the game and cause them to crash or get stuck.

These include antivirus software, firewalls, VPNs, overlay programs, etc. Try disabling or closing any such programs before launching the game and see if that helps.

I hope these suggestions help you resolve your issue. If these steps don't work, you could try contacting the game developer's support team for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps for your particular issue.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
