Thank you for your reply. None of those suggestions fixed it. I think I may need to do a reset. I deleted the microsoft onedrive from my laptop and I think that caused it. Again, thank you so much for your input.

I have a samsung laptop. It appears they have microsoft products integrated into the operating system. Everything I was saving etc... was being saved to a "one drive" folder. I don't want that. I removed one drive from my laptop and now, when I go to "file explorer" it says "working on it" then nothing happens. File explorer doesn't open. What can I do to fix this? Thank you.

Try restarting the file manager.
Please go to the Task Manager.
Click on the Right Click on Windows Explorer then click restart.
See if this fixed the problem.
Run the Search and Indexing Troubleshooter
Type troubleshooter in the search on the taskbar.
Click on Other Troubleshooters.
Click on the run button in the Search and Indexing.

Please make sure the Windows search service is running.
Please type services in the search on the taskbar.
Click on Windows Search
Make sure it is running.
Save.

Try rebuilding the search index.
Please click on the Windows Key and R Key at the same time.
Paste the link below and hit enter.
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL srchadmin.dll
Click on Advanced
In the troubleshooting section click on the rebuild.

If this does not work, go back to the step above and run the code again.
Click on Modify.
Check the indexed locations. Make sure all are checked and accept the C D E F drivers.
Click OK.
