Reinstalling Windows 11 on a Linux device

I installed Linux (Pop!_OS) on my Asus Strix G15 2021 laptop. It's not been pleasant at all, mainly when it comes to gaming. I'm going to reinstall Windows 11 on it. Do I need to reenter my product key?

    Hi Magic Man1,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If Windows cam pre-installed on your Asus Strix G15 2021, then you can re-install Windows anytime and it will activate automatically, because the OEM licence is stored on the motherboard.

During the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 11 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue

    Hi Magic Man1,

    Select 'Custom: Install Windows Only'

On the next window you will see all partitions on you drive, from the top down, select each partition and click Delete, unless you have a separate partition for data.

When the partitions merge into one 'Unallocated Space'. select that and click 'next' to begin the installation.

I also disabled secure boot in the bios. Do I need to turn it on again to reinstall windows 11. Also do I need to reinstall the driver's, or will windows auto detect and install it automatically?

    Hi Magic Man1,

To install Windows, BIOS must be in UEFI Mode, with CSM permanently disabled, and secure boot temporarily durng the installation.
