Can't type letters while logging in using PIN

My PIN uses letters. It only accepts numbers when trying to log in. I'm posting this question here again because although I see that many people have asked the same question, the response has always been at max, "Try changing your PIN and checking the box to use letters and symbols," however the issue is that I already have that, and cannot type them in. Does anybody know how to fix this?

    Hi JT,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Sure you are not mistaking PIN and a password? Click the other tile on the sign in screen(provided it is enabled), to switch to a password login. Enter the same and log in.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
