Windows 10 Update Caused Multiple Problems

Question

A recent Windows 10 update has caused multiple issues to my computer. I lost my MS Office, have not control panel, can't open settings, can't enter info into the search window, lost files in MS Explorer, etc. What is needed to get back what was removed from my PC?

Also you could perform a system restore to restore your computer to an earlier point in time where your programs were still installed. Follow these steps:

Open Settings and click Update & Security.
Click Recovery and then Open System Restore.
Hit Next and click Show more restore points.
Select a restore point where your programs were still installed, then select Scan for affected programs to see what programs will be affected if a system restore is performed.
If you agree with the possible changes on your system, click Close, then hit Next.
Save and close any programs that are opened, then hit Finish.
Click Yes to start the system restore process.
