Cannot use Microsoft Pinyin
I was able to install Classical Chinese (Taiwan) and it was fine, but Pinyin Chinese (PRC) caused the language bar to disappear. How can I resolve this? I am using Windows 10 Pro.
I have tried uninstalling Microsoft Pinyin, restarting, installing, restarting, but it still does not work. When I uninstalled Pinyin and kept Classical Chinese and another language, French, the language bar came back and I was able to toggle between these languages.

2023-03-10T22:34:55+00:00 Hello again -
Since you know what might have caused this, See if you can System Restore to a point before the problem started:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-system-r...
System Restore is your first line of defense and can take you back to a point before a problem began like a time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this started. If System Restore is not enabled on C drive do that now so it's available in the future.
If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...
If that doesn't help you can contact the author of the first tutorial I gave you earlier, Pinyin Joe, who likes to help those who read his tutorials and may be the best expert on this: https://www.pinyinjoe.com/contact.htm
I hope it helps.

2023-03-10T14:13:04+00:00 Greg, thanks for your quick response. I have studied the links you provided, and tried those that relate to the problem, but none worked.
When I added only the French language (in addition to English), the language bar (showing EN) appeared, and I was able to switch languages using Windows + space. After I added Chinese Pinyin, the language bar disappeared completely even after restarting. When I removed the Chinese Pinyin language in Region, language, the language bar reappeared.
Before removing the Chinese Pinyin, I tried Ctrl-Alt-Del. On that screen, I saw ENG at the bottom right corner. When I pressed Windows + space, only English and French showed, Chinese Pinyin did not.
Could it be due to a corrupted Simplified Chinese language pack? I repeated the add language process over two dozen times over two days, but the problem persisted. Or could something be preventing non-alphabet languages from working?
The problem happened after I ran the Tron script on my PC.
Thanks for the help.

2023-03-10T07:30:23+00:00 Hello, I'm Greg, here to help you with this.
Try these troubleshooting steps for Pinyin in Windows 10:
https://www.pinyinjoe.com/faq/windows-10-missin...
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
https://www.chinese-forums.com/forums/topic/608...

If nothing else works you can always reinstall Windows using Traditional Chinese language installation media from Media Creation Tool:

Let me know if you have any questions or I can help performing any of the above steps. Based on the results you post back I will have other steps to try if necessary.
