Hi

Trying to create an HDInsight cluster but the Microsoft.HDInsight resource provider was not registered. I click on register and left the process overnight. This morning it still showing "Registering". Can anyone help?

I have encountered the same issue just now.

I followed the quick start documentation.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/aks/learn/quick-kubernetes-deploy-terraform?tabs=bash%2Cazure-cli

I tried to re-register resource providers manually on the Azure portal, but after that, the browser never finished loading resource providers.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

As this thread is not locked, I am following up on this issue. I am currently encountering the same one. I have tried to register on several browsers (Chrome, Edge) after clearing the caches. I have also attempted it on different computers. Furthermore, I tried to register both via the Azure Portal and through the command line using Azure PowerShell.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi @Carlos Restrepo , @Junghoon Park ,

The issue seems to be resolved now. I am able to register and unregister HDinsight resource provider in my visual studio enterprise subscription.
Could you please double check and let us know if the issue is resolved or still persists for you?

    Thank you

    Hi @Carlos Restrepo ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for reaching out.

This issue could be sometimes transient one. In the past we have seen users having similar issue and who were able to resolve by clearing browsers cache, refreshing the browser or changing the browser and reregistering resource provider.

Could you please clear the cache and refresh your browser and try to re-register the resource provider and see if that helps.

Please note that: You must have permission to do the /register/action operation for the resource provider. The permission is included in the Contributor and Owner roles.

If the issue still persists, you may have to file a support ticket for deeper investigation. In case if you don't have a support plan, do let us know here.

Hope this info helps, do let us know how it goes.
