so i think i lost all of my important data and i dont know how to get it back.

i was sitting in discord yesterday and i got a white window opening and then fastly closing (it looked like a 25 frame), then some time later i got a BSOD saying Critical Process Died. i thought that this was viruses and i was trying to fix the problem and my chrome browser was on the autoload so it was loading everytime i was launching my pc. and while my chrome was launching i also was getting these errors but everything was kinda fine, but one time was crucial: my chrome didnt closed correctly because of and error and i cannot launch it now. also that happened to my Yandex Browser and i can send you my logs of it. for sure, restore points do not work because even the restore point that was created automatically on 24th of February (a long ago before my pc crashed), my chrome and yandex are still not working. i launched on a restore point that let me launch my chrome browser in administator mode, but i saw that all of my extensions were gone, history also. only my account saved and a couple of bookmarks. im crying, i remember the moment that flashed over like 20 times: when you press right click on yandex browser - you see a part of your preciously tabs, and after the crucial crash happened, now, i dont see anything, its like it has no info.

    Hello tubbyrabby,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

Firstly, could you let me know the specific system version? You can check it by pressing the Win key + R key, and typing "winver", then press Enter, please take a screenshot/photo of it, and only send the relevant information without PII in the next reply.

Did this occur recently, or has it been going on for a while? If it was recent, did you have any special actions (such as installing system updates*,* hardware changes*, etc.*) before that?

Please check if there are***.dmp files*** in the C:\Windows\Minidump directory.

    • If so, package these files, upload them to OneDrive, and share them, and then include a link to share them in the next reply. Since these files detail exactly what happened when your system crashed, this helps us resolve your issue.
    • If not, run the following command to enable it. Win logo key + Q, open the search box, type "cmd", then right-click Command Prompt, select Run as administrator), and then type the following command.
        wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType=3

This is to enable blue screen logging. You need to access the C:\Windows\Minidump directory to see if there are .dmp files after the next blue screen appears.

Then about the system restore point, if you have restored the system to a previous moment through a restore point, then the system state will be the state at that time, and you cannot show any settings, actions, etc. after you created the restore point.

Then about information such as bookmarks in browsers, did you log in to the relevant accounts in these browsers and turn on synchronization before using restore points to restore the system? If so, the data will be synced to your account and you can now restore it by logging in to your browser in your account.

And you may Repair the Microsoft Edge browser. "Win" logo key + "I" open Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Microsoft Edge > Modify > Repair*.*

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,
