Whenever I try to use the command bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff, it says "The value is protected by Secure Boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted." How can I remove the protection so I can turn off DEP?

It is required of modern operating systems.

Why would you want to turn off DEP in 2023?

    Hi Atte,

My name is Igor, it's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you.

I'm very sorry for disappointing you, but Windows 11 requires secure boot, and secure boot requires DEP.

You may roll back to Windows 10 with turning Secure boot off.
