If you disconnect the pwr to the HD, does your PC then function? (Assuming the bios boot order is set)?
Sounds like the HD has failed. That maker will have a free disk checking utility

Hi, I recently got hacked, and a virus was put on my PC that stopped windows from loading. But I fixed it a few days ago. When I fixed it, and got into windows, my HDD wasn't showing up in my storage on my PC so then I unplugged and plugged it back it. The actual issue was that my drive was unallocated space, so that was an easy fix. Then it seemed fine for a while, but while I was in the middle of a game, I pressed the ESC menu and then it got stuck on the background for that menu. So I closed the game. Then when I tried to open the launcher for the game, it said that I needed to uninstall and reinstall the launcher. So I tried to go into my browser and it wasn't tabbing into it. Nothing was able to be tabbed into. So restarted my PC. Then it said that D; Desktop wasn't available for some reason. I opened my file explorer, and the D; drive was there, but it had a little question mark next to it. Discord and my browser were working, which are on my C; drive. My C; drive is my SSD and my D; drive is my HDD, so I turned off my PC, and checked both, and my HDD was pretty hot. So I unplugged and plugged it back in, and then turned my PC back on, and a message came up saying "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" I looked up a few fixes online and nothing worked so far. One suggested that I change the boot order. I tried that, but my HDD isn't even available on the boot menu. My SSD was, but it was already first in the boot order. It wasn't there in boot menu when I was initially fixing my PC when it asks what drive you want to download windows onto. Another suggestion was running a PC optimization tool to make sure my HDD didn't fail, but I'm not sure how to do that since I can't get into windows. Another suggested disabling legacy boot, but I couldn't find that in the BIOS/UEFI settings. Another one said to run diskpart, but I couldn't get into the windows repair tool. I tried pressing a bunch of the F keys but none of them seemed to work. Another said I should clean my registry but I can't do that if I can't get into my PC. I tried what I could think of, and nothing is working. My PC is down again after just a few days. The only thing I can think of is that when I touched my drives, it shorted it out with static electricity or something, because I think I saw something about how that might be able to happen since computer parts are very sensitive to electricity. I gave all of the information I could think of, so if there is anything else you need, just let me know.
