Windows 11 missing MS Store

Hi,

I recently rebuilt my PC as the mainboard failed, and noticed that a number of components, including Microsoft Store were missing.

I took the decision to perform a clean install of Windows 11, which fixed some of the issues I was having, but not Microsoft Store, which is still missing. I have tried the majority of fixes in the forum but none have worked and I am reluctant to perform another fresh install as it will mean reinstalling all of my other software again, which will take considerable time and effort.

My windows version is 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1265

I have run the MS Store reset command wsreset.exe and the following error is returned:

We can't open this 'ms-windows-store' link Your device needs a new app to open this link.

When checking Installed Apps in the settings, Microsoft Store is not listed.

I have tried to re-register MS store in Poweshell using the command

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

I have also run the following commands, rebooting the PC after each one

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

I even tried adding a local admin account, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Jaspreet,

Thanks for your reply. As I was preparing to reinstall WIndows 11 as you suggested, I received another response which I tried and it worked perfectly.

However, as a result of preparing to reinstall Windows, I have now exported all of my browser favourites to my NAS so that if I ever do need to reinstall, I will have backups.

    Thanks.

    Hi Shawn,

Thank you so much. I used wsreset -i in PowerShell and it worked first time in less than a minute. You have saved me so much time :)

    Thanks again for your help.
