Device security alert cannot be dismissed

I am running a fresh install of Windows 11. The 'Device security' is showing an alert but when I click on Dismiss it prompts the UAC Yes/No window and when I click Yes and does it again (total of 3 times), but the alert does not go away.

I've tried deleting the regedit folder of the windows defender which did not help.

How can I get rid of this annoying alert icon??

    Hey,

I've already tried step 1 - everything went fine, no corruptions were found.

I do not have any issues in my device manager.

I wanted to do step 3, but I got an error (see screenshot).

    Hi Habubnik,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I'll do my best to help you.

I can see here that you're not able to remove the Device Security Alert on your Windows Defender.

Please try to follow the steps below:

    1. Please try to run the sfc scannow to check if there's a corrupted system file. Kindly follow the steps from the link below:

Please click start menu and type cmd, right click on it and choose CMD with Admin.

Type sfc /scannow and hit enter. NOTE: There's a space between c and /

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-t...

    1. Please check your device manager if there's an error with your drivers. If yes, please choose Update. If the issue persists, please try to uninstall the driver and restart your device.
    2. Please click Windows Key + R and type gpedit.msc and hit enter

Under Computer Configuration, select Administrative Templates then double click System, after that double click the Device Guard, double hit the "Turn On Virtualiation Based Security", choose Enabled. Then lastly, under Virtualiation Based Protection of Code Integrity, please choose Enabled with UEFI and hit Apply. Please restart your device and check if that will fix the issue.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

    Thank you,

    Christine L
