How do I set the output audio as input audio?

I want to set the output audio as input audio, which means that the "microphone" or the audio input picks up exactly the same audio as what the pc itself outputs. On my Win10 computer I managed to do this by setting "Stereo Mix" as the input device instead of "Microphone". However, when I tried the same thing on my Win 11 computer, it does not work——the "mic" does not pick up any sound, neither from the computer itself (which is intended) nor from outside, even when I am playing some music on my pc. I have already set input volume as 100%. When I set "microphone" as input device though, the mic perfectly picks up outside sound without anything going wrong. What should I do?

Hi, I'm Anvar, I'd be glad to help you today on this

Enabling listen to device will pickup system audio by microphone

Press the Windows + R key combination to open the Run box, Type mmsys.cpl and press Enter.

It will open sound window ,

Click on recording tab , make sure mic is set as default then double click default mic (with green tick) , in mic properties opens next , click listen tab and enable listen to this device option, select default playback device t listen

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.
