Intel Driver update causing screen tearing?

Recently installed a Intel Graphics Driver on my HP Workstation, windows 7. It seems to be causing screen-tearing to be worse.

Its intel graphics driver Version:15.36.38.5117 to my knowledge. Is there a way to fix this? It's extremely annoying and hindering my art job atm.:/ I've debated system restore because it is very annoying but I need this driver to run my games.

Does this restore the previous driver that was installed before this one?

"Roll Back Driver" in Device Manager will restore the driver that was previously installed.  If you had driver A, installed driver B, and then installed driver C, "Roll Back Driver" will only go back to driver B.  You wouldn't be able to use this facility to get back all the way to driver A.

Do you know what happens if you System restore more than a week ago? A computer friend of mine claims it would brick the computer. I don't know if this is true or not...

It's unlikely to brick the computer.  System Restore doesn't restore everything, and in particular does not restore personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.

The farther back you restore, the more likely there will be some incompatibility between some setting that was restored and something it relies upon that was not.  Windows 7 does have a feature to "Scan for affected programs" after you select a restore point.  That's supposed to warn you that you might have to reinstall some program.  See the first screenshot below.

There is, however, a safety net:  just before you do a System Restore, a new restore point is created so you can "Undo" the restore.  That is, if you choose your Oct 1 restore point and you find that after that restore operation is done something isn't working properly, you can "Undo" the restore and get back to today.

System Restore itself will warn you if the restore point you selected is "too long ago" (and I don't know how long ago is too long).  See the second screenshot below.

It's a bit odd that Oct 1 is your most recent restore date.  By default, Windows 7 creates a restore point every 7 days if no other restore point has been created during that period.

Bleeping Computer generally has very good advice.  You might consider going back to the thread where you were advised to use the particular driver you installed, describing your current problem, and seeing what they have to say.

System Restore likely would fix your issue, assuming that it's not too long ago.  It's generally not a great idea to restore to a point more than a week or so in the past.

Windows also has a feature that permits the "rolling back" of a newly-installed driver.  I suggest that you try this before you do a System Restore.  Open Device Manager (click Start, type Device Manager in the Search box, and press Enter).  Double-click the "Display adapter" section to expand it.  Double-click your display adapter to open its "Properties" and then select the "Driver" tab.  Click the "Roll Back Driver" button.

BTW, in your original question here, you indicated that you're using Windows 7; that Amazon listing you provided shows the computer with Windows 10.  How did Windows 7 get installed on this computer?
