I hope it solves the problem, see you later.
Mouse scrolling irregularly
I have a problem with my mouse not scrolling properly (using the mouse-wheel). There is scrolling, but it is irregular, especially when scrolling down a page. When doing long continuous scrolls, turning the mouse-wheel initially produces the desired effect, but then (part of the same movement) there might be an interruption in the scrolling or even a reversal of the scrolling, and then some more correct scrolling.
At first I thought this might be a hardware problem with the mouse, so I exchanged it. The problem remains.
I also have a second pc, and that has the exact same problem. One pc is a Lenovo ThinkCentre with Win 10 Pro and a wireless mouse, the other is a HP Probook with Win 10 Home and a wired mouse. Both have fully up to date versions of Windows.
The problem seems to have arisen on both pcs within the last week or so.
I have checked for driver updates – both pcs are reported to be running the most recent version of the driver, which is dated 2006 (really).
The problem is quite irritating, so any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew

2020-10-27T13:29:22+00:00 Hi, Luiz
Thanks for your response. Having looked more closely, I think that I analysed the problem incorrectly. It occurs only with Edge.
I have also found it to occur on a third pc (Dell Inspiron) which only has a touchpad.
Strange, though, that this should not, apparently, be a wide-spread problem, if it occurs with Edge.

2020-10-26T13:55:07+00:00 Hi Andrew, welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Luiz Cruz, Microsoft independent consultant and I would be happy to help you!
Does your mouse have a button that changes the dpi?
if so, I suggest you hold it for 5 seconds and test again.
Hope this helps!
