Settings SYNCING UNDO

I have two Laptops. One was logged into my microsoft account, my old, crappy HP. The other is my primary laptop.

So I just signed into the same microsoft account on my primary laptop that was on the crappy HP. I did this through the settings app.

HERES THE PROBLEM---- When I signed into the account on my primary, it automatically replaced the settings I had on my primary pc, to that of the crappy HP. Things like toolbar color, and performance options, yada yada.

I know this is stupid, but it BROKE MY HEART because I am something of a windows settings freak and I had the two pcs painstakingly set to my liking. Is there any way to reverse my settings to how they were before? Please help!

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is William. I'm a Microsoft Windows Certified Professional and Systems Administrator. I'll be happy to help you out today.

Outside of attempting a System Restore, there is no ability to revert back to the settings that you had before the sync took place within Windows. To perform a system restore, press Windows key + R > type this command and press Enter SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe > go to System Protection > System Restore > and select the most recent restore point before the Sync took place.

Note, you will need to disable Windows sync settings to avoid this happening again.
