In my last post I explained that the 38gb Properties box is not the correct one for the entire D drive, but only for one or more files on the drive - if you look at it's heading it shows Dr. J Work which is likely the file(s) it mistakenly represents as D. This is an error.

The correct Properties box for D is the other one which shows exactly what Disk Management shows and therefore confirms it.

I hope this makes it clearer.

My question is D:\ contains files size of 38gb, but in disk management it shows 30% free space out of 298.13gb

This confirms the D File Properties box shown in your first screenshot has 90.57gb free. The other screenshot is likely from one or more files on the drive.

As you can see you also have another data drive E of the same size but it has used 213 gb of the space on E.

The rest of the partitions are typical and correct, EFI System boots Windows, C is the WIndows partition with plenty of free space to use, and the Recovery partition WinRe is what boots you into repair tools if WIndows won't start.

Let me know if there's anything else.

Hi Venkata. II'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, and Volunteer Moderator, here to help you.

The title bar at the top of the right screenshot has a name for the drive, while the one on the left does not. Are you sure these are the same drive?

To settle this please post a screenshot of Disk Management, which I read like a doctor reads X-rays. Follow the steps here so I can see everything we need to advise you: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/foru...

Based on the results you report back I may have other suggestions if necessary. If you will wait to choose whether the problem is resolved, then I will continue to help until the problem is fixed.
