WIA Scan error

I have an HP LaserJet Pro MFPM127fw all in one device (print, scan, copy, fax) that cannot copy or scan after a the last Windows 10 update.  The HP Print scan doctor sends an error message that says "WIA Scan Error. Scanning cancelled by the user." The services mode of the Windows 10 system shows that the WIA service is automatic and running and the latest HP drivers are installed so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

Have you also tried to restart the WIA service and try to scan again? (ensure to run "Services" as an administrator)

You may also uninstall the printer drivers and software via control panel, perform a reboot, and reinstall the latest drivers from the printer manufacturer's website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservic...

    I hope this helps.
