Windows 7 installation

Hi, I'm new here....I tried to find a solution but I failed so please help..

I want to install windows 7 but every time I try, I get the acpi compilant error before the installation even starts . I'm sure that my .iso file is not corrupted as I managed to install this copy on 3 different PCs. I think the problem is that my laptop was modified to install windows 10 only. I have

Legion y540-15irh with intel core i 7 9750h

If that's the problem, is there a way to install it?

Thanks

Thank you so much for this instant reply..

Are you sure that the usb 3 drivers are the only problem?

I mean are there any other issues that may cause this problem?

I intend to install it using the legacy mode in the bios, will that make a problem?

I've heard of the .iso modification so I think I will try it.

When it comes to the warranty, I didn't have windows 10 pre-installed on my device , does that solve it?

    What details do you need?

                                 Thank you again...

If you indeed embedded the USB3 drivers in the ISO and you were not successful, I can offer nothing further.  That is indeed what I discovered worked for me.  Did you follow the very detailed instructions shown on that Dell web page for building the ISO?

    hi,

I added the usb 3 driver and the NVM express controller driver to the .iso file, but unfortunately it didn't work .

Later , I found a video explains that the usb 3 driver problem shows up after the setup is running . It says that you need to install CD/DVD for the installation but the main setup is running on the machine. In my case, the setup couldn't run so I can get to this problem. I hope you could give me some more advice about my problem.

the message after laoding windows files says that: the bios in this system is not fully acpi compilant

                                                                                                                                                                        thank you.

The warranty issue is between you and who you bought it from and the manufacturers they bought their parts from.

I was just advising another person earlier today:

I don't know the details of your system or your problems.  I can advise you that you cannot install Windows 7 on a system with an 9th gen processor on it because your system does not have native USB2 drivers on it.  It has only USB3 drivers natively.  Windows 7 installer comes with USB 2 drivers and no USB 3 drivers.

There is a way, but it is complex.  You need to modify the ISO to incorporate USB 3 drivers.

There are also issues with UEFI that require setting changes in the BIOS, if your system can even do that.

Also, you will get no where until you find Win7 drivers for your system and that is unlikely unless your OEM provides them.

You should also know that installing Win7 on a system that comes with Win10 will void your warranty.
