Scanner icon is missing

I cannot locate the scanner icon at the bottom of the screen after reinstalling the hard drive. Unable to scan documents

    That scanner icon would have been created by the software for your printer, you should go to the support page or your printer on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the Printer/scanner drivers and associated software they recommend

    If you have ant difficulty locating that support page, what is the Make and exact Model No. of your Printer/Scanner . . .
