When we restore VM, do I pay for the space created and removed?

Hi,

when restoring the VM takes up space in Azure with the disks that are created and we pay an amount regardless of the time of use, whether it be days or hours.

When I restore a VM it will take up space and I will pay for it as soon as it is occupied.

If I remove this restored VM and perform the entire restoration procedure, will I pay twice the space?

  • Restore 1 = Paid VM disk and VM usage time
  • I remove the VM from the restore 1
  • Restore 2 = Paid VM disk and VM usage time
  • I remove the VM from restore 2

Total pay: Disk restored 1 + Disk restored 2 + Time used restored 1 + Time used restored 2?

Thank you.

    Hi,

That's correct, you pay for the data usage currently being used by the restored Azure VM's disks, and you also pay for how long the restored Azure VMs were running (compute time).

    Best regards,
    Leon
