Not receiving SMS verification code when trying to reset password

Question

Hello - I got myself a new surface laptop 3 and to sync I need to confirm with my SMS, however I dont getting any (I have before) 

I also try to download the app on the android phone, with the same result. When Im trying other options it all going to the SMS that Im never getting. Can you people on MS please solve this - its not even possible to talk with a human regarding this problem

Hello anwille - and thank you for the reply.

Sadly, nothing works because if Im trying to update how I want to have my security and logg inn - I need to confirm with an sms. If Im trying to change PW - I altso need to confirm with SMS. However - I can my PW, the only issiue is that I need the SMS. 

The problem seems to be with MS because a couple of months ago, I did get SMS and I have not change my phone-number. I altso checked with my mobile operater and they said that they dont have any issue. 

Is it not possible to MS to manually send me a "human-made" pin on my phone?

I would suggest either the Get Help app in Windows 10 or Phone Support in your region.

Can you access your account via your phone browser to check the details of your mobile phone number.

Thank you for the answer - I tried the norwegian phonenumber, and it all went to the same place: 

"Because of security - go to this page --> enter your SMS code frome phone. 

This is really insane - I have tried mail, chat-bot, here, phone and its impossible to get to talk with an human or to contact anyone at microsoft to send me an sms code on my mail or manually do it.

As another thought, if you are in the setup phase of your laptop then don't connect to the internet and setup a local account initially. Then at least you can use the laptop to access the internet after setup is complete, you can setup your Wi-Fi at that point. Then you can use the browser to check your account settings.

Once you have access to your account go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in with a Microsoft account instead.
