How do I fix the windows setting header issue?

the windows setting header is NOT censored. My profile picture and the email/username are not showing up on the header.

which makes the setting app looks so weird. How do I fix this?

Someone told me to install onedrive.

I tried to install onedrive and the profile picture but the email/username are still not showing up.

This issue annoys me so much. On my OTHER pc, the header is completely normal.

Great thanks!

PS. I also notice the 'sync your settings' option is greyed out too.

I don't know if this is related to the issue.

Hello, KingshadeFairy I will be happy to help you find a solution.

In this case, to solve this problem, let's apply these steps: Open the Settings application and go to the Update and security section.

    • Select Troubleshoot from the menu on the left.
    • Select BSOD in the right pane and click Run the troubleshooter.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the troubleshooter.

There is no BSOD option on the right

    Hi Kingshade Fairy

From your initial description, it seems your PC is not properly linked to your Microsoft Account, for example 'Sync Your Settings' is grayed out . . etc. and if that is the case, that would cause that top bar to not populate correctly

In Settings, go to Accounts - Your Info

On that page, do you see your Email Address . . etc. indicating your PC is linked to your Microsoft Account?

Log into your Microsoft Account online - http://account.microsoft.com/devices

Do you see that PC listed in your Devices?

    Hi Kinshade Fairy

Do you log into that PC with a Local Account or a Microsoft Account, if you log into that PC with a Local Account, then you would not have the full information showing on that banner at the top of the Settings App

I am using microsoft account to login
