I'm trying to fix a problem with my windows account, but then the "Call us overprotective" program appears. It asks me to call or text a phone number I no longer have access to. When I select the option that say I can't verify, it directs me to my account info. The problem is that I updated my info a day ago and it still hasn't changed the phone number on the screen. I have 4 days before I have to put in a code. Any help would be appreciated.

How would I get rid of the program. Also, if I did remove the program, then how would windows verify who I am. Who would be the supplier of the program.

As far as I know, "Call us overprotective" is a third-party program. Where did it come from? Who installed it?

You can uninstall programs through the Control Panel / Programs and Features.

    Here are two options:

    • Get rid of this program.
    • Ask the supplier of the "Call us overprotective" program for advice.
