Downgrade Windows Version

Anonymous
2020-11-16T03:01:00+00:00

Hello, I am running Windows version 20H2 (19042) and I want to downgrade to Windows version 18638 or 19H2. However, I cannot go to Settings > Recovery > Go Back to the Previous Version because it has been more than 10 days since the last update. Can someone help me downgrade?

I need to downgrade because my bluetooth adapter works on version 19H2 but not 20H2 (trust me on this, I tested it)

Thanks

Dang, I really don't want to reinstall everything. Is there a place I can post Windows bugs and just wait until Microsoft pushes an update to fix the issue?

    Hello Toidi357,

Performing a Clean Installation on the drive on which Windows is usually installed (Drive C:) will not keep all your personal files and applications. You need to download and install again your programs after the reinstallation. The other drives will not be affected. Just make sure to take note the current total size and free space of your C Drive and other drives. You will need those information to avoid deleting the other drives during Windows Setup. You will need to delete only the Drive Partition same total size and free space of your C drive.

Important: Back up first your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive, or cloud location (such as OneDrive).

    Sincerely

Thank you, but when I reinstall Windows, I can keep all my personal files and applications on  the C:\ Drive right? The other drives will not get affected right?

    Hello Toidi357,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you want to downgrade your Windows version from 20H2 to 19H2. If it has been more than 10 days then you need to back up your important files and perform a Clean Installation of Windows 10 version 1909.

Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer offer downloads for older version of Windows.

Please try to use the link below to download an older version of Windows ISO file directly from Microsoft servers.

    https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php

    Select type:

    Windows (Final)

    Select version:

    Windows 10, Version 1909 - 19H2 (build 18363.418)

    Select edition:

    Windows 10

    Select language:

    English International

    Select file:

    Win10_1909_EnglishInternational_x64.iso

Please try to check this link on how to create an installation media using Rufus

Please change the boot order in the Bios Settings. Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created. Please refer to the link below on how to perform a Clean Installation of Windows by Greg.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further concerns.
