Disabling Inbox Class Audio Driver

Hello,

I was trying to fix an issue where my headphones will not register when I plug them in, unless I restart my computer. I used the built in troubleshooter for output devices and it changed my audio driver to an inbox class audio driver. I would like to change it back to what it was before, as to use my computer's speakers again.

Thanks.

    Hi. Mars

My name is Gabriel S. I hope to help you today.

This started to happen after some update of your equipment, or are they new headphones that you are trying to connect?

First, make sure that the failure is not in our headphones, since they have been damaged and this is the reason why Windows 10 does not detect them. To do this, simply connect them to another PC or sound equipment and check that if they work correctly.

Check connection and update drivers. If this is the case, then we must check the cable connections, but if everything is correct, then we can proceed to update the drivers of our sound card, since the problem may therefore be on the computer side. To do this, just go to Device Manager, find our audio card and right-click on it, select the Update driver option. We can also do it manually by downloading them from the manufacturer's website.

Audio troubleshooter. If the problem still continues and Windows 10 does not recognize your headphones, then we can use the Windows 10 audio troubleshooter. Remember that Microsoft has included a series of troubleshooters in the system configuration page that can help us. to solve all kinds of problems automatically. So, let's go to Settings> Update & Security> Troubleshoot and launch the audio playback solver to see if it is capable of solving our problem.

Change the sound format. Another thing that can help us in the event that Windows 10 does not detect your headphones is to change the default sound format. To do this, we right-click on the speaker icon on the taskbar to enter Sounds and then click on the device with the right mouse button to access its Properties.

This will open a new window in which we have to go to the advanced options tab. There we will find the default Format, which allows us to modify the sample speed and depth. We set the highest value, save the changes, and test again to see if our issue of Windows 10 not recognizing your headphones has already been fixed.

Check the sound output settings. If you do not hear anything through the headphones that we have connected to the computer, the audio output of the system may not be properly configured. Therefore, we must:

Right-click on the loudspeaker icon displayed on the task bar.

We choose the option Open Sound Settings.

In the Output section of the Configuration page we verify the output device.

If they are not our headphones, we display the list and select them.

We can also click on the option Manage sound devices and:

We select the input that corresponds to our headphones and verify that they are heard correctly by clicking on the Test button.

    Greetings…
