Windows Explorer High Data Usage

Hi all,

I have noticed through windows data usage that windows explorer is having high data usage. I have moved some files recently inside the network.

Could that be related to this? And what is this System data usage?

    Yes, if you have a PC network set up on your Ethernet connection with more than one device, then File Explorer would use that data to transfer files, however that would not translate to Internet Data, just local data if the location you were transferring files to was local

    MSTSC is Remote Desktop

    System using data is usually Windows updates

    Is that Explorer usage counting as Internet data or just Network data on that connection?

    Have you checked the usage on your Internet provider to see if that 6GB+ is Internet data usage or is it local network usage?

    RDP and System usage are fine then.

    I transferred data inside the local network and as you saying it should be included here in the internet usage? Then what has caused those data?
