Hi

I am having problems installing Windows 10, version 20H02. After several tentatives, I end up each time with the message error "Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware"  and then the device shuts itself down almost immediately. I tried installing the new version of Windows 10 through Windows Update and then Windows 10Upgrade9252. Both time, I ended up with the same results. I went back to Windows Update and check if they were other reasons why Windows couldn't complet the update installation. In the " View updates history", the error message 0xc1900101 was written too. I really don't know what to do next that s the reason why I am contacting you guys for some helps for a way to fix the situation. Thx ...

I recommend you to completely repair Windows before you have to make a copy of your personal files

Microsoft Official Website to download and create Windows 10:

See here the correct way to recover your files when repairing Windows:

I will be attentive to any results

Hi Pablo ... No luck again. I did exactly as you said. Uninstalled completely the anti virus, went through the updating process which took forever, 9heures... and still ended up again with the same results. The only difference this time is, at 48% almost half way into the update installation, the laptop shut of itself with no warning. Rebooted it myself ... and now the device is "undoing the changes made to your computer" ... I really don t know what else can I do. Any other advice? Alain**

ps: it is the first time i m facing updating problems with Windows 10. All the other updates always went with no troubles at all  ...

    Hi, Alain

My name is Pablo E, I am an Independent Advisor. I would love to help you today.

If you are having trouble updating Windows, follow these steps:

If you have any third-party antivirus that you have installed, you should uninstall it.

You can update manually, just download the updated ISO.

When updating with the ISO, disconnect the Internet.

This link also works for the latest version
