Just to discard the previously proposed solution once and for all, if you use VPN for remote access to the office (I assume the remote station is there) or make use of virtualization programs like VirtualBox, etc. When typing ipconfig, several IPs must have appeared on different interfaces on your computer, none of which corresponded to the remote computer, right?
If this is the case, and as you mentioned that you were not the one who set up remote access at the office station, my recommendation now is to seek your company's IT support so that it can more accurately solve your problem. I say this because it may be necessary to change settings on your remote computer, or change settings of the VPN network, in short, some factors can interfere in the solution and we will not have the means to intervene.
