Until recently I was able to copy my iphone pictures & videos from its internal drive using the win explorer. After updating to ios14 i can see the pictures & videos as thumbnails but as soon as a video file is opened after which it completely gets frozen, thereafter i cannot open or copy even picture folders which opened previously.  This happens only if I try to open video file. Error message 'we cannot play this file' 0x080070141/0x0800700aa etc.  If you reconnect the iPhone it works ok until a video file is open.

    Hi, I'm Robinson, an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you.Follow these steps in your Iphone to solve this problem.

    1-Click on Settings.

    2-Scroll down and click on Photos.

    3-look for "Transfer to MAC or PC" and change for "Keep Originals".

    Thank you for the reply, i doubt very much its a player issue because as soon as i connect the phone i could play a video file nornally, but soon after that it locks or freezes out, afterwards i t does not open any file not even a pic file.  Only way to get it going is to reconnect the iphone again.

    You have a codec problem to play the video, I recommend you to install the K-Lite mega codec pack on this link.
