Taskbar clock settings reset

Anonymous

This morning, the clock on my taskbar shows only 2:27 PM - I had it set up to display the full time, date and day of week - Mon 10/12/2020 on one line, and 2:27 PM on another.

How do I get this back?  I think it must have been a Windows Update that caused this problem, since I haven't installed any new apps/programs, and it was working absolutely fine yesterday.

    Hi Peter

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Right click an empty spot on your Taskbar, make sure Lock the Taskbar is unticked

Click and drag the top of the Taskbar up slightly until the date appears

Right click the Taskbar and tick the box to Lock the Taskbar

    Hi Peter,

Thank you for that screenshot, the only other thing I can think of is, right click the Taskbar and choose taskbar Settings, is 'Use Small Taskbar Buttons' turned on?

If that does not work, I need to check that last update that was installed on your system, click your Start Button, type winver and hit Enter

On the resulting dialog, what Version No. and build No. of Windows 10 are you running?

I tried it at every height.  It only needed one "unit" of height previously.

    Hi Peter

How far did you drag the top of the Taskbar up, please post a screenshot of your Desktop, including the Taskbar so I may understand the problem in more detail and if it is a scaling problem . . .
