Pen Lag on Computer

Hello! I recently bought a Thinkpad X1. It comes with a small stylus on the side, but recently, I've found that it has some lag on it when I try to use it (the cursor will lag slightly behind where the stylus is). There is no problem with using something that connects via USB, it is only the attached stylus that has a lag problem. If anybody could help me fix this, it would be great; thanks!

    I advise first to try to check for updates by going to settings > Windows Updates, then install any pending updates you may find.
