Windows 10 Stop Code Fix

My computer underwent at Windows 10 update last week.   Since the update, I've lost the ability for video chat, which is a problem in the world of COVID and working from home.

I tried to follow the instructions posted here:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows\_10-performance/windows-10-stop-code-fix/f2d4e221-fd68-424c-ac28-1557697fa498

Unfortunately, I do not get the option for "Advanced system settings" actually I can't do anything when it goes into "restart" mode except wait for the system to run its cycle.

Are there any other suggestions to fix this?

    Hello,

I'm getting the blue screen anytime the computer tries to access my camera/microphone when doing a live chat.

Sorry, but I don't have any idea what you are referring to when you suggest looking at the minidump files.

Zipping them and making available on a public folder??? Not sure I'm comfortable with that.

Isn't there a way to get rid of the updates that actually caused this issue?  Everything was great last week...

    Hi,

Are you getting a blue screen error using video chat?

In any event it may help to look at the minidump files from the blue screen crashes.

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.

Here's a link on using OneDrive:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/sha...

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop.

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time.

As the driver for the camera may be outdated and no newer driver available from HP try switching to the built-in Windows webcam driver (native USB Video Device Class (UVC) drivers):

The above link refers to a Logitech camera but applies to any camera.

The blue screen error may be cause by an outdated driver for the camera.

    Can you do the following:

Open the Device Manager and expand "Imaging devices"

    Double-click the camera > Driver

What is the "Driver Version" ?

Then click on the "Details" tab, then choose "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu under "Property".

    What is listed under "Value"?
