Mouse without borders not connecting -- error

I am having an issue connecting my two laptops.  The main laptop is using wifi.  The second laptop is wired in with ethernet for Zoom.

The error is:  Connection error!  Please check if your machine are connected to the same network, not the MWOB.....

How can I remedy this?  I really love the idea of one mouse for two laptops.

Hi, I'm Bianca, an Independent Advisor for Microsoft.

I'm sorry to hear that you are getting an error connecting your two laptops. I hope I can help you get this sorted out.

The error you got might be caused by a software installation that left your laptop to be in a restart pending state.

To resolve this, restart your laptop. If not, apply and follow the fix found on this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/272367...

Please let me know if this does not work for you.
