After updating last night the Autorotation lock buttom disappeared from the Ino Center. I found how to get the button back (*HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotation)*but even when switched on it does not rotate anymore.  How can I activate the Autorotation function?

    Hello Daniel,

    When I follow your 4 steps it looks like in the picture (sorry for German):

    "Querformat" means Landscape formate. It is greyed out and can only be activated and changed when I switch the rotation lock to "on". I then can turn the position, but it stays there locked and does not autorotate.

    FYI I also sent a mail to Fujitsu support. Will contact them tomorrow by phone too.

    If you have any new ideas, please let me know.

    Again many thanks for helping.

    Peter

    Peter, I believe that if you follow these steps, everything will be back to normal.

    1. Windows + I
    2. Click on System
    3. Orientation (Landscape)
    4. Rotation lock (on / off)

    Hello Peter, welcome again.

    I've been researching your case and found this article that can help you, source: (Eliakin L. Dantas

    Microsoft Agent)

    I understand that after upgrading to Windows 10 the rotate function is not enabling. In this case I suggest that you press the Windows keys + I click on System, tablet mode and change the key to activated, do the test and see if the behavior continues if you continue, go to the website of your computer manufacturer and update the drivers compatible with the Windows 10, if the manufacturer does not yet have drivers compatible with the system, download the latest version and update in compatibility mode.

    Update drivers in compatibility mode

    Go to your computer manufacturer's website to download drivers compatible with the Windows operating system and perform the steps below:

    1. Right-click on the driver icon, choose the option to resolve compatibility issues;
    2. Click try recommended settings;
    3. In the new window described as troubleshooting programs compatibility, click the option to test the program;
    4. At the end of the test, click on Next;
    5. On the next screen click Yes, save these settings for the program;
    6. And lastly click on close troubleshooting.

    Test and see if the behavior continues if the behavior continues please contact the manufacturer for assistance with the function.

    If the answer helped in any way, please mark it as an answer, if your question has not been solved, please post again.

    Hi Daniel,

    I tried many things as far as my limited knowledge allowed, but I am a simple user. What is this "Surface" model etc. Where can I find the info?

    I still could not find the problem. It does not rotate anymore.

    Just btw: After I unstalled the last Windows update yesterday night (which took so much time that I went to bed), when staring this morning the display was upside down. I then turned it in the display settings - so now it is correct, but unfortunately also frozen in this position, even when I turn the laptop in tablet mode.

    Here some data of my laptop, Model Fujitsu Lifebook T936, which is a convertable.

    Gerätename DESKTOP-8M34VNU

    Prozessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz   2.40 GHz

    Installierter RAM 8,00 GB (7,89 GB verwendbar)

    Geräte-ID BD66DA82-4D44-4324-9A34-BBCA391F3608

    Produkt-ID 00330-50237-82593-AAOEM

    Systemtyp 64-Bit-Betriebssystem, x64-basierter Prozessor

    Stift- und Toucheingabe Unterstützung der Stift- und Toucheingabe mit 10 Touchpunkten

    Thank you for help.

    Peter
