Whenever i try to watch anything fullscreen on my HDMI connected screen the video freezes as soon as it is made fullscreen. it is not a browser issue as it does the same on all sites, browsers and applications. i have updated all of my drivers related to the issue but i can't seem to solve it. everything else works fine (even fullscreen games) but video's don't. how can i fix this?

thanks.

Another tip is to do an HDR Test - Leave Active and Disable this Option:

Following your instruction to enable G-sync i came across a driver "Game ready" on geforce that i hadn't downloaded. I downloaded that and double checked my nvidia drivers were up to date and voila my fullscreen works for the first time! Thank you so much for your help, it is much appreciated.

    Hi @Noah,

    I appreciate the return!!!

Here is a link from NetFlix with some guidelines to see if it solves your problem and questions:

    https://help.netflix.com/en/node/99

Also make sure your computer uses G-Sync:

    https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln2...

Here you will find guidance on how to disable / enable G-Sync if you have it on your PC but you are having a problem:

    https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-settin...

Another situation is also to check your Monitor's Hz as it may be having some incompatibility:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/824570...

(Let your Monitor at 60 Hz go testing the others to see which ones can prevent you from continuing to experience the Frozen Screen problem)

I have done as you stated in the reply. I have updated my drivers and went to settings to turn on HDR as it was previously off. When playing the test video in HDR settings it works fine however when playing fullscreen on the netflix app and youtube on various browsers, my problem still occurs.

Edit: Full screen works of other laptops other than mine with the same HDMI cable, so the issue does bit lie with my cable or extended screen.
