I plan return my previous windows 10 home  by reformating and installing to my laptop btw my current OS is win 10 pro and I run a SMART test to my hard drive it has 79% health and says that

"There are 16 bad sectoars on disk surface. The contents of these bad sectors were moved to the spare area. Based on the number of remapping operations, the bad sector may form continuous areas. There are 8 weak sectors found on disk surface. They may be remapped any time in the later use of the disk.

My question is could I still proceed on installing or it should be fix first? Thanks :))

Hi Chillymansi

Click the Power Button on your Start Menu

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Command Prompt

Run this command and press Enter

chkdsk C: /f /r

Wait for that command to complete, then restart your PC . . .

Hi Chillymansi

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

It would be best to repair your disk first, because there are a lot of read/write operations to the drive during a re-install and you do not need errors during that operation . . .
