Help! Admin password reset

Acer aspire home pc windows 8.1 os

I lost my admin password and because of that i not only can't access over half the operations of the pc but it is also restricting me from booting in safe mode.

It's set up with a local email and sadly i no longer have access to said email.

I've tried several ways to "backdoor" it but with no luck.

I've tried the shift + reset and it will not do anything without admin password

I've tried to use command prompt and same issue can't go further due to not knowing admin password

I've use the del button to get to boot menu and tried changing things there and nothing

I've tried downloading pc fixer and windows pc fixer to a usb and had no luck there.

I have over 70,000 pictures and documents on there that i don't want to lose or i would just factory reset it.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I've tried all of that including redownloading windows 8.1 to a disk from the site and it said the file didn't burn to disc. Which i have no idea why, i used a dvd-rw to put it on.

I also posted all of the above to the Acer community forms as well to try and get assistance. I'm not trying to go against any community standards, I'm just trying to retrieve my files from my old pcwithout having to take my pc to a shop. I thought that since it is a Microsoft windows OS and i register every pc and Microsoft product i get i thought this site would be of assistance

    We can't help you.

If we did, we would be BANNED from this community.

Take it to a shop with proof of ownership.

"What to do if you forget your Windows 8/8.1 password"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/what-do-forget-windows-password#1TC=windows-8

If you've forgotten your Windows password, there are several ways to retrieve or reset it:

    • If your PC is on a domain, your system administrator must reset your password.
    • If you're using a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. For more info, go to the Reset your password webpage.
    • If you're using a local account, use your password hint as a reminder.

If you've tried these suggestions and still can't sign in:

    • If you have Windows 8.1, you'll need to reinstall Windows.
    • If you have Windows RT 8.1, you'll need to contact your PC manufacturer.

Are you using Microsoft Account or Local Account?

Take a look at Change or reset your Windows password (microsoft.com)
