Update.exe - Application error

Hi. I keep getting this error on my laptop and cant seem to fix it: 
update.exe -application error

the application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000e5). Click OK to close the application

if anyone can help that would be great

    I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

    There are a lot of versions of Update.exe, we need to find what software on your PC that belongs to

    Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

    Choose the Processes Tab and leave that open

    When that Update.exe popup appears, on the Processes tab, find Update.exe, right click that and choose 'Open File Location'

    What is the reported location of that file?
