Process - SynaMonApp.exe

Hi,

I have process named in the following location: C:\Windows\System32\SynaMonApp.exe.  As I understand it related to Synaptics Incorporated.

This process is not signed with a digital signature. I have checked it in VirusTotal and it showed only 2/70 found it as a "malicious". Does someone know what is this type of process ? This is the following hash: 6da522a30cd406cc6f916da38c2e6ebfea78ad6412951e75fb7527fea4add656

    I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

    SynaMonApp.exe is a legitimate process, it is otherwise known as Synaptics Audio Tool, it is used to implement digital audio on your system, that file is not malware

    With regards to 2/70 finding that file to be malicious, it is possible for any file on a PC to become infected, that is not an indication that SynaMonApp.exe is malware, you do not need to be concerned about the safety of that file . . .
