Hello Prakhar Khare, I am getting the same error message. I have Windows 10, version 1909. 64-bit. I had run the Driver Updater in an attempt to resolve the error message 0xc1900101 I keep getting as I try to upgrade to the latest version since support for 1909 ends next month (May 11th). I had enrolled in the Microsoft Insider Program, but had changed my mind. I thought I had un-registered but I am getting this error message on a screen that states there was a problem with my insider build. Thank you!
BSOD “system thread exception not handled”
System specs:
CPU: Intel i5 6600k
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070
RAM: G. Skill DDR4 3000mhz 16gb (2x8gb)
MB: Z170-A Pro
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600
My brother tried to log onto my computer to play games and said it blue screened as he tried to click on his profile. Im getting a “stop code: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED”. The only thing I can remember that I’ve changed changed recently is I overclocked my CPU in order to run a next gen game. Im unsure if any other updates or recently added/changed files could be causing this issue.
Auto recovery gives an “Error code: 0xc000000”, I can not boot windows through safe mode, and system repair notes “Log file: G:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt”.
I’ve also tried changing around my RAM to see if a stick had died and reverting my CPU overclock to base values. I’ve heard it could be a driver issue but i have no clue how to access my drivers or figure out which ones could be at fault.
I’d be happy to provide any more info if needed. Thank you!

2021-01-03T18:55:38+00:00 Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that you’re facing issues with Blue Screen on your PC, and I certainly appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.
We will certainly look into this for you.
For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:
- Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
- Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the article Troubleshoot blue screen errors and see if that helps.
You can also try booting the PC in Safe Mode and see if it freezes. Refer the article Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
If the PC is not freezing in Safe Mode, then try booting the PC in Clean Boot and see if the PC crashes. Refer the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows
Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.
If the PC doesn’t freeze after performing Clean Boot, then please refer the section How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean bootto identify the root cause of the issue.
Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshootingto boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting
However, it would be great if you could upload the files on OneDrive and share the link to us. If we can analyze the dump file, we may be able to narrow down the cause of the error. The Dump files are located in C:\Windows\MiniDump folder.
Let us know if you need any further assistance, we will be glad to assist you.
Regards,
Prakhar Khare
