Connecting SQL Server 2016 with Windows Authentication is not working.

Dear Experts,
i have two virtual Machines with SQL Server 2016 installed.
on VM 1 i connect the SQL Server of VM2 with Windows Authentication and it works.
But when i connect the SQL Server of VM1 from VM2 with Windows authentication, it does not connect.
Both the VMs connect each other with SA account.
Your urgent help needed.
