I want to delete an azure active directory (aceonicsoutlook.onmicrosoft.com) however, it is blocked by some seat-based subscription that is not displayed in the business store. Please check the attached screenshots.

I'll post the summary of your issue below.

    Issue:
Can't delete seat-based subscription to delete an azure active directory.

    Troubleshooting:
Doc followed - Delete a tenant in Azure Active Directory

    • AzureAD Admin Center, Azure Portal, Microsoft Store For Business, and Microsoft 365 Admin center, didn't show a subscription to be deleted.

    Recommended Steps:
Since this required further troubleshooting, a Support Request was created.

    RCA:
There was a “WINDOWS_STORE (trial) subscription” under the Tenant that you provided.

    Solution:
Support had to collaborate with internal resources to manually remove this subscription. (~3 day period after deletion for it to update on your Tenant).

Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.

Subscription management is the correct "issue type" when creating this support request. I see that a subscription isn't automatically populated (since it should be deleted), when creating this support request. This means that you might only have the options of selecting "reserved instance" type of issues, as seen below.

    • Do you have another subscription where you can create a support ticket? If not, please create a support request, post your SR here, and I will reach out to the support engineer as soon as possible to see if there's anything they can do from their side regarding this issue (i.e. transfer to the right team, or delete your subscription).

    • If you do have another subscription to create the ticket with, please do so referencing your issue and selecting the "Cancel, switch, or re-enable..." option

Lastly, since you don't have a SubID, I won't be able to open a support ticket on your behalf.

If you experience any issues, please let me know.
Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue!
