Windows 10X

I have a laptop which only works as a laptop. It does not rotate 360 degrees nor does it have a touchscreen.

It is not foldable(i.e it cannot be used as a tablet). I have heard that Microsoft is working on Windows 10X for single screened devices.

So will it get Windows 10X Update?

Hi Peter_Parker242, my name is Felipe Lucas, Independent Advisor and Microsoft Windows user like you.

I'll be happy to help you.

Microsoft isn’t saying exactly when single-screen devices like laptops will support Windows 10X, nor when dual-screen devices will launch with the OS. However, Windows 10X will launch on single-screen devices first.

But we don't have a good deal of information yet, just what the press published.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.

Seeing that Microsoft has put 10X to fight against chromebook --- you will be getting a downgrade.

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

There are no confirmed details as of yet, Microsoft have said they will bring out 10X to single screen devices in the future. It’s not clear what benefits or features this will bring, hopefully it will be confirmed closes to the realise time, but this wont be likely until middle to end of next year.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
