weird random problem

Recently I've been getting a very strange problem.

It occurs randomly, sometimes it doesn't appear, sometimes once, sometimes it happens twice. It always starts with a context menu selection or any selection getting stuck on the screen. Then certain windows become frozen and unresponsive, but I can still run, open the start menu, and open things like task manager, but the more I try to figure out how to fix the problem, the more things stop working, and one by one each program or window stops working until the entire system locks up and the only thing left working is the mouse and I have to restart the computer.

I have no idea what it is that is causing it, but it seems to occur more if something demanding like photoshop or Blender is open. But I keep my drivers up to date, clean out junk and problems on a regular basis, and I recently did a defrag, all of which has done nothing to fix the problem.

Please help as it's stopping me from working efficiently.

    Good Day Reddish,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

Since there are multiple issue going in your computer I highly suggest for your to perform Repair Upgrade , this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files. This will optimize your system.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".

Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".

    Step 5: Let it install

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    With Warm Regards,

    Carlo T.
