Whenever I try to start Microsoft Flight Simulator it closes and gives me the code "0x80070003" if you have a solution please tell me.

    Make sure Windows is up to date:

    Open the Start Menu > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

    You can try to uninstall the game and reinstall it.

    1. Press the Windows Key.
    2. Type Add or Remove Program.
    3. Scroll down the list and find the game.
    4. Click the game and select Uninstall.
    5. Restart and install the game from the Microsoft Store.
    6. Check if the issue persists.

    Try to perform a clean boot in Windows to check if any program it's causing the issue, follow the steps in the article below:

    Add the game to the Windows Defender Exclusion list

    1. Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
    2. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
    3. Select Add an exclusion, and then select the game folder.
    4. Check if the issue persists.

    Turn off any extra Power monitoring software

    1. Open the Start Menu and open the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
    2. Change to High Performance.
    3. Shutdown your computer (Not restart).
    4. Check if the issue persists.

    Update/reinstall the drivers of your GPU

    Before trying the steps below, download the latest version of your GPU drivers from your manufacturer, then follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Windows Key.
    2. Type Add or Remove Program.
    3. Scroll down the list and find your graphics driver.
    4. Click the driver once and select Uninstall.
    5. Restart and install the new drivers.

    Try to reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ programs

    1. Press the Windows Key + R, type "appwiz.cpl" and then press Enter.
    2. Locate the Microsoft Visual C++ programs in the list.
    3. Select each entry and then click Uninstall.
    4. Download a fresh copy of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime and then install it.

    Sometimes, it just closes before the menu comes up with no error.

    I suggest you to try the solutions below that will help you with your problem:

    Run the troubleshooter:

    1. Open the Start Menu and select Settings
    2. Go to Update & Security
    3. Click Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps
    4. Run the troubleshooter.
    5. When it finishes, restart and check if the issue persist.

    Sign-out and sign-in again in your Account.

    1. Open the Microsoft Store
    2. Click your profile picture and sign-out.
    3. Then sign-in again.
    4. Check if the issue persist.

    Reset the Windows Store

    1. Press the Windows Key + R keys
    2. Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.
    3. Check if the issue persist.

    Re-register all the store apps:

    1. Press the Windows Key + R keys
    2. Type powershell and press Enter.
    3. Enter this command on the PowerShell and press enter:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    1. Restart and check if the issue persist.
