Bluetooth Capability has gone missing

I had this Dell 3593 since March 2020 which I had a HP mouse connected via Bluetooth but suddenly (not sure if there had been any updates at the time) the Bluetooth disappeared and the laptop has NO Bluetooth capabilities.

Any ideas how this could be fixed because I'm at my wits end with the touchpad.

The Bluetooth is hidden in the device manager if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advanced.

Hello CraigTofNewy,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with Bluetooth not working. When was the last time it worked properly?

Please try this first if it helps.

  1. Many laptop computers have a hardware switch or key combination to turn Bluetooth on and off. Look for a switch on your computer or a key on your keyboard.
  2. Please try to turn off Fast startup

Press Start then search Control panel

Under View by > select Small icons

Select Power Options

On the left side, Click "Choose what power buttons do"

Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable"

Under Shutdown settings > Turn off fast startup

Power off the system then pull the power cable from the laptop wait for 15 minutes

Power back on

  1. Please try to visit first your manufacturer's Support Page. Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver for your device.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

Sincerely,

John DeV
