Microsoft Apps Stopped Working

Hello,

For a while now my microsoft store apps have stopped working (Calculator, Xbox, etc.). The apps don't even show up in the apps and features list in settings. Here's some things I've tried already:

-wsreset.exe, the program ran but it didn't fix anything

-*Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml”}.*on cmd, the error reads "'Get-AppXPackage' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

-sfc /scannow on cmd, it tells me that some of the problems couldn't be solved and to look in the logs for further instruction, but I don't know what to do with it

-Updated Windows to latest version

I would paste my sfc /scannow log here, but I don't know how.

Any help is appreciated, been having this issue for a while but it has only heavily affected me now.

    Hello iOmni,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that this did not resolve the issue. Performing a Repair Install via In-place upgrade will not affect your important files and installed apps compared to "Reset of your PC".

If you decide to perform the In-place upgrade, you can always check the instructions on my previous reply.

You're welcome. Stay safe and Happy New Year!

    Sincerely,

    John DeV

    Hello iOmni,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that this did not resolve the issue. Have you tried restarting your PC after performing Powershell? Kindly check the Microsoft Store apps again.

If the issue still persists, Continue creating a new local administrator account.

If this doesn't work, Please try performing a Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while preserving your personal files, settings and installed applications.

**Few things to check on the PC

    1. Important: Back up your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive.
    2. Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install
    3. Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    4. Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

Kindly try to use the media creation tool.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Download the media creation tool(Click Download tool now) and save it to your computer.

Open the tool and select Upgrade this PC now.

Make sure to select Keep personal files and apps.

It might take some time to install Windows 10. Your computer will restart a few times, Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely,

    John DeV

Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately creating a new user doesn't solve the problem. I'm not willing reset my entire PC for this but thanks again for trying :)

    Thanks for the reply;

My Windows edition is Windows 10 Home and the version is 1909. I have already ran the troubleshooter multiple times to no success (forgot to say that in the original post).

I already have an additional user on my computer and that user is able to access some apps like Calendar, but isn't able to open others like Calculator, so it seems like some apps work but others don't. I'd also like to add that the Start Menu doesn't work for both users. I can create a completely new user if you would like me to.

Lastly, when I did the Powershell command, I get errors saying that the system can't find the path specified.
